Joomla Auto Category Select menu may styled or not. Some styles are already included into the package. If you want manually change them, your must overload according CSS styles in your themes files or create your own theme for it.
In case you configure this plugin not to use JS instead of standard HTML selectbox, you are to style selectbox if you need it.
